Pumpkin Patch!
Aden loved the pumpkin patch, she calls them “bubbles”, which is how she says “apple” and it works for pretty much any round fruit or vegetable. She also tried to eat her pumpkin but that didn’t really work out.
Right when we first got there…she likes to make dramatic faces

Little Packer Fan
When I woke up this morning I was somewhat horrified to find Aden completely naked in her crib and covered in poop. Well, okay she wasn’t exactly covered because some of it was on her bedding and smeared all over her crib. She was happy though! I wonder if she does it on purpose because she knows she’ll get to play in the bath afterwards…
Gross, you say? Yes. It is quite gross and disturbing. However, this is what I signed up for when I decided I wanted to be a mommy. I’m sure there are many poop filled years to come and I’m okay with that. I figure I’ll take a nice cruise when they go off to college.
These pictures have been a long time coming, because Jeremy Chastain gave my Jeremy this little cheerleader outfit several years ago. Little did he know at the time that we would be together as a couple now, and that Aden would fit into this!
Picture overload!
So now that I have a new camera battery I decided to take some new pictures of Aden in her Packers outfit, and I found these when I uploaded! I think this dress was a hand me down from someone, I just found it in her closet one day and realized it would probably fit her…and doesn’t she look adorable in it? Not my usual style for baby clothes but it has that retro/home made feeling.
And this is why everyone should have a little girl…
Pretty sure I hate 95% of people.
I am extremely annoyed. Annoyed is not even the word…furious is probably much better for this situation. I have posted a huge rant on my myspace blog for anyone who is interested. myspace.com/katherinevoss (you have to be a friend because I have my page private for good reason, but I will carefully consider adding you if I know who you are).
Anyways, some happy things. My camera battery came in the mail, and it works! I also got my “pregzilla shirt” from 2chix maternity that I have been waiting for. I love this color purple…

I have 2 weeks left in my current University of Phoenix class (yes, I hate them too) and after that I have one more class and I’m taking a long break. Well, I’m never going back to UOP, but thank GOD, I hate online school so much it’s not even funny. Also who wants to do that crap while working 10 hour days and taking care of a 2 year old and a newborn? Not me.
Also, the final happy thing. One day I will be a civilian. I’m not even sure when, because since I’m doing a med board I might not get out at my actual EAS, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Sorry this particular post is so sloppy, but I’m kind of tired and I should probably go to bed. Only now I’m thinking about the most delicious sloppy joes ever in the world, that I happened to make in my wonderful crock pot the other night.
Hypnobabies CD…here I come. I love how you help me get to sleep at night. And I love you too, iPod. I couldn’t do it without you.
Bored, baby clothes, camera
So I have been doing some major shopping this weekend, I know I shouldn’t but who can resist with all the awesome labor day deals going on? I went to babiesrus and got a bunch of baby boy clothes on clearance, and they were an extra 30% off the clearance price! I got mostly 0-3 month clothes, although I found the newborn pants in the color I wanted to go with some other newborn clothes I bought previously.
The baseball one is super cute because if you turn it over it has a baseball applique on the butt!

And this is why I am making sure to buy newborn clothes this time….I know Aden was early, but she was so tiny and she wore them for almost 3 months! Even if this baby is a complete moose he will still probably not fit into 0-3 when he’s born, as I found out last time.
Pic of Aden as a newborn…that is a newborn size onsie and even that was pretty big on her
Another big score at babiesrus was a Dora the Explorer bedding set for Aden. I had been wanting to get it for her for a while now, but it just so happened that it was on clearance this weekend. AND there was an extra 20% off the clearance price on that, so I got a $50 bedding set for next to nothing. And of course she loves it
I also got some wall sticker thingies at Wal Mart too.
Oh, and some good news about my camera, I called the Casio service center and they are sending me a new battery for it!!! I’m so excited because it’s a pain in the ass to use my phone every time I want to take a picture. She said it would take 3-5 business days, so I was pretty surprised about that. Be prepared for new pictures
New haircut and belly :D
I got bangs today when I got my hair cut, I’m pretty sure it’s the first time since 1st grade.
My belly is getting really big, I think it looks bigger because this was taken in the afternoon. I’m 21 weeks now and time is flying by! Before you know it I won’t be able to cross my legs or lace up my own darn boots because the baby will be in the way haha.
Our Baby Boy!
Just wanted to share some ultrasound pictures of our baby, who is indeed a little boy-just as I suspected! I’m 2 and 0 for mother’s instinct right now and proud of it
Our baby looked perfect in every way, he was moving around a little bit but overall he was fairly lazy and the ultrasound tech was able to get every picture she needed. We got to see his little heart and brain and everything. He has a really cute little face, I could see his nose! And of course we saw the goods! It was QUITE obvious that he is a boy, the lady said she doesn’t tell unless she’s sure but she didn’t even hesitate, it was all hanging out there!
Here are the pics:

Aden’s first gymnastics class
Today I took Aden to her first gymnastics class, it’s a mommy and me class for 18 month-2 1/2 year olds. She was SO into it! She was amazed by all the toys and equipment and everything was bright colors. She ran around the whole time and she was so cute! I was exhausted by the end of it, I’m having trouble bending at the waist (hmm, wonder why) and I was running after her the whole time trying to keep her with the other kids. She was not shy at all, she went down the slide about fifty times and she liked the balance beam a lot! She is pretty fearless too, I knew she would like this because she’s been wanting to climb all over everything lately.
And of course I have pictures
I still don’t have a new camera battery so cell phone pictures will have to do. She looks so adorable in her leotard! The one in front of the TV is her being completely mesmerized by the Wiggles. And I added one of her sleeping just for extra cuteness.
I heart Ikea
So we went to Atlanta last weekend, it was quite stressful but fun at times. I’ll probably write more about that when I get some pictures of the trip from Amanda. My camera is still not working but I think she got some good ones of the babies at least.
We got to Ikea at about 7:50 PM because Emily’s plane was delayed and rerouted, and the baseball game was going into extra innings. I believe it was finally over after the 17th inning, I think it was at least 9:30 by that time, and the game was originally scheduled to start at 1:30 before it was delayed by a thunderstorm.
So, we stopped at the cafeteria first because I was starving and had been walking around the airport ALL DAY! I had this amazing chocolate cake, I really should have taken a picture of it! That’s not all I had, mind you, there was pasta involved as well. This gave us less than an hour to shop, which is pretty darn hard considering that this place is about the size of 10 Wal Marts. Thankfully this wasn’t my first time there because then I really would have been pissed. We got a couple more Barnslags for Aden, if you don’t know what those are then too bad for you! I also got her an extra duvet cover and pillowcase for her little ikea pillow and blanket that I got last time. These also have Barnslags on them.
Then I decided that I absolutely MUST have this wonderful Poang chair, which I do happen to have a picture of. I’m tired of sitting on my uncomfortable couch, and I can’t wait to get a sectional but this chair is pretty awesome.

And, guess what else?
BABY poang chair!!! Aden thinks it’s pretty cool, unfortunately when she tries to climb up on it she tips it over, so we have to work on that.

And here are some more pictures of my beautiful girl, just to share.
Sleeping in the car driving around Atlanta during the thunderstorm

And watching some kids show on TV and refusing to look at the camera!

As for me, I just got back from a middle of the night journey to Wal Mart, where I picked up some DVDs for Aden because we’re setting up a little TV with a built in DVD player for her in the dining room. I decided to turn the dining room into the toy room since we don’t eat in there, and the toys are completely taking over the living room! Anyways, about the DVDs. I got her Elmo’s potty time DVD, it has songs and stuff so we’re going to do the whole subliminal messaging thing since she loves Elmo. I also found a Dora the Explorer DVD that as an episode called “Dora is going to be a Big Sister”, so a little more subliminal messaging there…and the last one is a Wiggles one where they dance and sing nursery rhymes, which I’m sure she’s going to love!
